Spring Training Session: A Day of Learning, Growth and Connection.

At Crestview Group of Companies - Lawrence Constructions Co. Limited & Grant Management Limited , we believe that our Staffs & Superintendents are the heart of everything we do. They are the faces our residents see every day, the hands that keep our buildings running, and the first point of contact for prospective tenants searching for a place to call home. That's why we were thrilled to host a full-day training event dedicated entirely to their growth, well-being, and professional development.

A Day Built Around Our People

The day was designed with two core focuses in mind: workplace safety & wellness, and leasing skills — two pillars that are essential to the daily lives of our Superintendents and the residents and communities they serve. To keep the energy up throughout the day, the team was treated to snacks, meals, and refreshments, ensuring everyone stayed fuelled, focused, and ready to engage. The atmosphere was warm, interactive, and full of laughter — exactly the kind of environment where real learning happens.

Part 1: Workplace Safety, Health & Wellness

Our team members Jana and Denise prepared & led the first half of the day, covering critical topics that every Superintendent needs to feel confident and protected on the job:

  • Workplace Hazard Awareness — identifying and managing common risks in and around our buildings
  • Return-to-Work Process & Policy — understanding the steps and support available following a workplace incidents
  • Workplace Violence & Harassment — policies, rights, and how to handle difficult situations professionally and safely
  • Illness Protocols — best practices for managing health-related absences and maintaining building operations
  • Accessibility & Disability Communication — training on how to properly assist and communicate with residents and visitors with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive and respectful experience for all

Jana and Denise's presentations sparked meaningful conversations among the team, with plenty of discussion and real-life scenarios that made the material relatable and actionable.

Part 2: Leasing Skills Workshop with Kim Reld of Taeus Group Inc.

The second half of the day brought an exciting workshop led by Kim Reid of Taeus Group Inc., who guided our Superintendents through the art and science of leasing — from the very first hello to helping a prospective resident find their new home.

Book, Show & Sell — the full leasing cycle and how to move prospects through each stage with confidence

The Art of the Greeting — making an immediate, positive first impression that sets the tone for the entire interaction

Effective Communication — listening actively, speaking clearly, and tailoring the conversation to each individual's needs

Supporting Prospective Residents — the proper approach to guiding someone through the process of finding their next home with patience, professionalism, and care

Kim's workshop was engaging, interactive, and packed with practical takeaways that our Superintendents can put to use right away.

Some Highlights of The Day

Looking Ahead

Days like these remind us why investing in our team is one of the most important things we can do as a company. A well-trained, confident, and supported Staffs means better buildings, happier residents, and a stronger community.

A huge thank you to our speakers for their time, expertise, and energy. And most importantly — thank you to our incredible Property Management and Head Office Staffs for showing up with open minds, great attitudes, and plenty of enthusiasm.

We're proud of the team we've built, and we can't wait to see these skills in action.
