The Crestview story began in the very early 1900's when our founder, Bert H. Grant, emigrated from England as a young, energetic and single artisan with a dream of success in a new country. We still own and manage buildings built by our founder in the 1920's when he began operating under the company name Lawrence Construction, including our property on Mount Pleasant Road. In 1947, the second generation joined when Bert F. Grant carried forward his father’s vision. The tradition continued with the third generation, Bert A. Grant, who guided the company for 50 years until his retirement in 2021. Today, Bert C. Grant serves as President and CEO, representing the fourth generation of family leadership. All shares remain held by the descendants of our founder, preserving the family spirit and values that continue to define Crestview.

Crestview Investment Corporation owns our assets, while Lawrence Construction Co. Limited manages our portfolio with the same dedication to quality and service that has guided us for nearly a century. Our third company, Bert F. Grant Management Limited, extends this expertise to our trusted third-party clients. Together, these companies embody our long-standing values of pride in ownership, quality, and integrity. Over the decades, our developments have shaped communities across the Greater Toronto Area, from single-family homes in Markham, Bowmanville, Oshawa, and Scarborough, to apartments and commercial properties throughout the region. Today, our portfolio includes more multi-family residential communities as well as office, retail, and industrial space.

Our mission is clear: “A family enterprise providing quality real estate solutions for life”. We honour our past while looking to the future by maintaining every property with care and investing in long-term sustainability. Our hands-on approach ensures that our tenants, residents, and clients receive the highest level of service, setting us apart in the industry.

But our pride extends beyond bricks and mortar. The same family mindset shapes how we treat our employees, trades, advisors, tenants, and clients. We manage every property, whether our own or a client’s, with the same dedication to excellence. We also take seriously our role as corporate citizens, giving back through charitable donations and community support. One meaningful example came in 2011, when our shareholders presented a legacy gift to Leaside Gardens Arena in honour of Bert F. Grant, renaming the ice surface in his memory. It was a fitting tribute to a man who helped shape the neighbourhood through the original homes along Leacrest Road and our Crestview Apartments nearby.
At Crestview, our history inspires us, our people define us, and our commitment to quality ensures our properties continue to thrive for generations to come.
